"Plastics may not be so safe for kids"
(Posted by Patrick Sullivan Jr.)
"Unfortunately," said Dr. Philip Landrigan, a pediatrician and chairman of the department of community and preventive medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, "we're in the terrible position of having to say that we mostly don't know."
At least he's honest.
It's a good article.

Are cars safe for kids?
Since cars account for a large number of childhood deaths, why don't you pursue this question?

Grudge, the research is very strong on the relationship between chemicals in plastics and childhood as well as adult health. Phthalates have been implicated in issues like thyroid function, lowering testosterone, causing DNA damage to male sperm, insulin resistance, etc.... The car analogy is exactly what the American Chemical Association would use to deflect the issue. It is real the studies being done are no longer just rat studies, the data is coming out on the association of these chemicals on humans and the data doesn't look good. The threat is real.

Chemicals "may be unsafe", but we KNOW cars kill kids every day.
I do not work for any chemical company and have no kids, so I do not have any dog in this fight.
I'm just wondering is this question has ever been addressed. To refer back to your conspiracy theory, maybe it's the auto industry lobby that is distracting us from this reality.

"May be unsafe"? Please Grudge what is you point? Read the journal Environmental Health Perspectives and tell me that plastics cause no problems health wise. Your comments are puzzling as they have no point. Who's conspiracy theory? Yours?

Mark, Grodge just likes to play nonsense games like this. He's the resident troll.
