(Posted by Patrick Sullivan Jr.)

Feels like a John Grisham novel/movie.

Our son is part of the Omnibus. While we are excited that this is finally getting under way on Monday, June 11th, we won't get any definite answers until 2008. A memo from the Special Masters, dated May 31, 2007, notes that anyone can listen in to the proceedings (registration required) or read the transcripts for the day at www.uscfc.uscourts.gov. It is our hope that Special Masters George L. Hastings, Jr., Patricia Campbell-Smith, and Denise Vowell will run proceedings that follow the letter of the law. Regardless of the outcome, I will be satisfied by the results and hope that media will pick up on these proceedings so that more debate from the public could occur; afterall, Paris Hilton's DUI got coveraged.
