This new study certainly won't help the growing distrust of our current medical system. And good on NBC for reporting it.
So even after hundreds of millions are spent on drug trials, little stupid mistakes in the field can add up pretty big time. That's a harsh reality that I hadn't really thought too much about before.
I agree with the recommendation that every patient needs their family members and/or friends to be advocates for them. Without that, it's far too easy to fall through the cracks.
